No start or no crank

My car when try to start it turns over real slowly, but it has a new battery. When trying to start cables gets hot and broke the positive battery terminal.

Good morning,

With that said, I would replace the battery cables as bad cables will cause high resistance resulting in low cranking and overheating of the battery cables.
