Driver side does not blow hot air when heater on. Passenger side is fine.

I was told it was a Evaporator case issue and it would cost 1700 to fix. Some code was given for the error and they say it is the reason it is cold on one side.

Is that right? I am thinking an actuator/. Any help or advice?

The only way a case would make sense is if it is allowing air in on the driver side that is not allowing the hot air to come through.

I am with you that an actuator makes more sense. I assume you have dual temp zones? Meaning the passenger and driver side can be adjusted independently of each other. If that is the case then the actuator would make more sense.
