Noises problem 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 152000 miles

What is the symptoms when the transmission bearing went bad? My truck has a noise like scraping even in neutral. If I pushed the clutch down the noise mostly disappear. I have 5 speed transmission, in 4th gear is not loud as the rest of the gear. Can I continue to drive my truck or what worse it can happen?

From your description it sounds like the clutch through out bearing is failing. A failing through out bearing will be noisy when engaged in all gears, including neutral, and lessen when the clutch pedal is pushed down. Has the clutch ever been replaced? Most clutch kits include this bearing, it may be time to replace the clutch, if it has not been done recently. Just an idea, let me know what you find.
