My truck has an issue with this intermittent clatter/chatter noise & has had for many years now, just can't afford to keep paying to fix things till I luck into the correct solution. It sounds like it could be low on oil, but it is always full & I change it on a regular basis. What makes this so odd is that it is unpredictable. If it clatters when I first start it, the noise has usually stopped by the time I reach my destination. If it doesn't clatter when I first start it, chances are, it will by the time I reach my destination?

Hi
Does noise increase with RPM? If yes Try adding Marvyl Myster Oil next oil change. Works good to clean lifters.
Hope this helps
Thanks for donate

Afraid not, the clatter is the same speed regardless of engine RPM.

With hood up does noise come from front engine? If not where? If not changing with rpm can't see it engine related.

Ok, perhaps the clatter speed does change with rpm, it just doesn't speed up as much as the engine does. Guess that makes sense eh, since gearing up slows down the rpm?

So, if I was to try the mystery oil, can you give me some specifics like how many quarts per oil change and will I need to do this every time I change my oil, etc?

Mix directions on bottle think it's 4oz. I'd use it every oil change. Cheep @4.50 bottle also good to add to gas lubes and cleans valves
