I have a 97 Nissan Sentra about 100,000 miles on it. Yesterday everything worked just fine and I had no problems with it, today, I go to start it and I have absolutley no power. Nothing works, not the power locks, nothing. The battery wont take a charge and it wont jump start either. Could the alternator be to blame for discharging the battery, because nothing was left on that would have killed it. Should I just replace the battery and see?

I would reccommend if you can get the car up and running bring it to a parts store and see if they will let you use their load tester which will tell you if either your battery or your alternator is to blame. I wouldnt just replace your battery it would seem there has to be another underlying problem. Good luck :)
