1998 Nissan Pathfinder Cracking Sound when making hard R/L

There is a noise coming from my front left wheel when I make hard left turns. It sounds like a cracking or breaking sound. Do you know what might be the cause of this?

Check wheel bearings for excessive p[lay.

Labor @2.4 hrs OEM bearing $250 aftermarket would be cheaper if available.
