The knock sensor is under the intake manifold, here is the instructions on how to change it out in the images below. Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

1998 Nissan Pathfinder 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I am getting fault code for knock sensor failure.
The Haynes manual says it is located under intake plenum. I have removed it and cannot find any sensors under it or wires going to any sensors.
Where else could it be located?
