1999 Other Nissan Models Engine sputtering and stalling duri

We have a 1999 Nissan Quest Mini Van that we are having problems with. Everytime you start the vehicle it sputters and wants to stall. Only way we've been able to keep it running is by flooring it real quick and then it'll idle fine. It has no problem while driving it. It has on a few occasions stalled on us when we are sitting at a stoplight. What do you think could be causing this and what can I do to fix it?

Do you have a check engine light and when was the last tune-up?

For a start check the fuel pressure and then test the coolant temperature sensor, auxillary air control valve and throttle position sensor.
