1997 Other Nissan Models Automatic 44000 miles

Hi. I got this Nissan Almera about month ago. Was running fine and I also drove from glasgow to blackpool and back. Smooth drive no problem what so ever. Didn't take the car out for 3 days. When I started the car after 3 days today, it was fine but within half a mile it started to jerk. The jerks were more prominent when I stopped at traffic lights or when going uphill. In fact when going uphill, it was almost struggling to keep going. Any suggestions what could be the problem and possible solutions. Thanks

Sounds like a misfire. Did the 'check engine" light come on? If it did, have it scanned for codes, they will most likely point you in the right direction. If no codes, inspect plugs and wires for any external damage or wear on the plugs, may need to be replaced due to high resistance
