2002 Nissan Maxima Engine Dosn't start sometimes.

The car will start, and I will drive it about 500 feet, and the engine will sputter and stop, then I have to wait 15 - 20 minuets, and it will start again. Once I got it started, I was able to drive it home, but I could not go over 2.5k RPM's or the engine would just sputter and shake. I also had to take the freeway home, and the car would only go 60MPH before the engine would start to sputter and shake again. When I got home the check engine light was on. Are there any ideas would be much appreciated!

Hey raci47!

Thanks for your reply. And you know what, I went in today, and got the code read, and it was the MAF Sensor.

After you tell me, and the guy that read the code from AutoZone told me, I am now willing to spend the $430 it costs to get a new one.
