2002 Nissan Maxima Code PO158

The code came up Po158 change bank 2 sensor 2 red sensor. Dicconnect battery drove 60 miles check engine light is still on. But car back on the computer code PO158 still coming up. What other things could be wrong besides the sensor that I should look into.

Hi Robert,

Well, first off it is Not Recommended to disconnect the Battery to try and clear codes. Doing so can cause a Voltage Spike and Fry the Main Computer.

Most likely the code was not cleared and you will need to put a scanner that is capable of erasing codes back on the vehicle and clear the code.

Will I have to bring it to a repair shop to erasing the code or is there a way I can do it. Like auto zone

Sorry for delay in getting back to you.

You can go by your local parts store, as long as they have a scanner then they can also erase the code.
