The air conditioner siezed up and serpintine belt (outer) wrapped itself around the crank puller. The outer part w/grooves in it was pushed off and was cracked. Have been trying for two days to loosen bolt to remove the pulley used up to a 3/4"drive ratched with a 2' handle, and it won't budge. Been soaking it with penetrating oil and tried heat. Nothing seems to workl.
a friend suggested dropping the starter and blocking the flywheel with a lrge screwdriver, but am afraid it will damage the flywheel.
Do you have any suggestions?

Hi there,

if you dint have access to 3/4 drive pneumatic equipment or a torque multiplier, you can use the ring gear method, you must use a suitable screwdriver and have a positive purchase, do it carefully and you should not have a problem.
