1999 Nissan Maxima catelitic converters

1999 Nissan Maxima 4 cyl Automatic 130000 miles

i was told my fix engine light came up as my catelitic converters. The on in the front, and converter in the back and both sensors. I was told it would cost 1500 to pass inspection in NY. Does this sound like a fair price, and is there anyway around this? Thanks for ur help. Not new parts they r refurblished. Alot of money at this time HELP

Hi there,

They are not cheap to replace, the price is a bit expensive, I would go get a second quote, the cat is about $1000, 02 sensor about $67. And around 1.5 hrs labour.
