Is there a way to change the plugs without having to remove that massive intake cowl/manifold/? That extends over the rear half the engine? Is there more under that which will have to be removed as well?

I have never had to remove any of that stuff to get to the back plugs. Do you have a picture or something?

I may have been given false info. The parts store guy told me that and I just assumed it was accurate, even when I opene dthe hood and glanced in. Went to take a photo and re-examined. It seems that the plugs are under some screwed down coil. There isn't even standard plug wires, just some wiring going to these coils. The coils are also located between the intake manifold ducts. That same manifold I assumed I had to remove. Thanks for your reply.
