1994 Nissan Maxima Lost overdrive and reverse

Hello,
I was on the highway at about 70 when I felt a jerk or shudder and the tranny went into 3rd gear. (Lost overdrive). When it tries to shift into overdrive it free-spins and does not grab. I also have no reverse and the tranny has a hard time shifting into second.
What has happened? Oil level is good and I put new oil in about a thousand miles ago. Oild does not smell burt and the color is still red. Please help me. I also ran the tranny diagnostics and I had no codes come up.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

This sounds like a mechanical failure with in the transmission, I think your best course of action is to get this inspected by a transmission specialist as soon as possible, I feel that there will little that you can do yourself with this as there are many special tools requited to do most transmission repairers.
