Hi all. I have a 1993 Maxima and after I had changed the head (closest to the firewall) and aligned all the sprockets for the timing at TDC, the car will not fire up. I changed the dirtributor location to the number one terminal with cylinder #1 at TDC (per Haynes Manual) and still nothing. Everything is connected correctly, vaccuumm hoses, fuel and electrical hoses. I know there is a spark and fuel delivery. Please help!

I know there is a spark and fuel delivery

Is the fuel pressure correct?

All you need now is the correct valve and ignition timing and she'll fire right up. You sure no.1 is not on the exhaust stroke

Is it possible that the cylinder can be on the exaust stroke if it is in TDC? Isn't it always on the compression?

Open it up and verify that no.1 is in the compression stroke-both valves on the no. 1 should be closed-Lining the crank pulley to TDC doesn't mean you're on the compression stroke-I'm guessing you're 180deg off
