1989 Nissan Maxima check engine light

1989 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 120000 miles

i changed the transmission sencor and the speedometer doesnt want to work, and the check engine light comes on. I also changed the computer and the check engine light stlll flashes.I went to trnsmission shop they advised that it was speed sencor.I changedit and it still flashes I want to do or if you know why and what the problem is

Hi there,

The light is a fault code in the ECU, so if you get a scan done this will give you the code, now did the mechanic who changed the old ECU make sure that it was for your exact model, and if it came from a wreckers it may still have embedded fault codes in it.
