On my above car I bought it about 1 1/2 years ago and there was a blinking sensor light on the row of light on the dash board. It blinked on and off and the person I bought the car from said her mechanic couldn't get the light to turn off and quit blinking. I took it to my mechanic and I am positive he unplugged it somewhere under the drivers side dash. The light now doesn't come on at all. When I turn the key to on it is the only light not turning on and now I am having problems starting the car in the mornings and then it starts perfectly every time until the next morning. I am also seeing a big drop in gas mileage. How can I find out where my mechanic unplugged the light from so I can be informed if my car is having trouble?

Thank you,

John B

HI there, he may have removed the engine check light globe from the instrument cluster, if so this is quite irresponsible on his behalf, does the engine check light come on with the ignition on, and the engine not running?

I know he did not take out the light bulb as I was standing not too far behind him. Where the light is located, he could not have taken out the bulb. I'm sure he did something underneath the dash on the drivers side.
