1996 Nissan Altima Timing

I have a 1996 Nissan Altima It stopped all of a sudden and I was told to change the distributor cap when I did it started for a brief moment. Know it only cranks it wont start and if it start it only idels low if accelerated the car shuts down please help

Hi rwoodart,

Did you check the plugs and cables?
Was the check engine light showing when the engine starts?

If no, you need to check the fuel system, pressure regulator, fuel pump etc.
