1996 Nissan Altima question

When i took the covers off from where the spark plugs are, OIL came out... did i blow a seal or a gasket of some sort?

You blew the spark plug tube seal. Just get yourself another valve cover gasket set VS50517R. Install it dry, no RTV sealant.
