1993 Nissan 240SX Trunk won't latch closed

So the other day my trunk wouldn't close. I looked at the latch and I think there is a spring missing.

I rigged some rope and tied a rubber band to the little knob that hangs down that is supposed to get pushed over to the right to latch the trunk shut then I closed it and pulled the rope to pull the latch shut manually. IT WORKED!

but. Nevertheless. I would like to have a regularly functioning trunk.

Can you tell me 1. If it for sure is a spring that I need. 2. Will any spring do or is there a specific one for this. And 3. Where can I get one?

If parts have fallen out of the latch assembly, a new one is in order. If you can find the old spring, then I suppose you could match it up and use any one, but a new latch would probably be a lot less trial and error and much easier in the long run
