Will not go in reverse

It started to go in reverse but now it just does not want to.

Does it go into all of the other gears?
Have you checked the transmission fluid level and appearance for brownish burnt smelling fluid?

If the vehicle drifts any while in neutral, the adjustment for the shifter needs to be adjusted.
