hard starting

Hi there
My ranger is taking a few turns of the key to start up .....with some white smoke on trying to start ?..the battery isn't that old it used to start first time all the time ,
I would appreciate any help you can give me

scan for codes and have fule pressure checked to see if withinspec.

take to a n auto parts and tell them you need a scan on your car they will do it for free
