What is the proper timing of the M/Eclipse 98

Hi I am geroge from Panama I want to know very fast what is the protper time of my mitsubishi eclipse 1998 timing belt. To adjust. Because I have problem //// when I start my car and try to go most faster my car came stoked and the engine feel fast but the rpm are in 3000 mile per hour.
and I think that the problem is the timing belt because I changed for a new one but I never now what is the correct timing of that bell in my eclipse 2.0l year 1998 engine 420a
