I have a 97 mitsubishi mirage with 180,000 miles. The check engine light came on and the reading came back the o2 sensor. My friend was pulling on the wire that goes to the o2 sensor while the car was running. It died and then when started wouldent stay running. He turned up the idle on the car and that made it stay running. Is it bad that he did that and could the o2 sensor make it keep stalling? Now when I drive it, it runs really bad and smells awlful. Please help :( thank you

The idle is computer controlled and should be left alone. That is a yes on the possiblility of an O2 problem. Check the codes in the computer for starters.

I replaced the o2 sensor and im still having the same problem except I have more codes now.P0115, temp. Sensor, p0135, o2 sensor, p0110, intake air temp. And p0105, manifold pressure sensor. Is there anything that I can do besides replace all these? Or anything that would make all these codes come up?Can they all go at once? :(

Which O2 sensor got replaced-front or rear? The code listed is for the front.
What was done to turn up the idle?
Was it put back?
Seems like a lot of codes. Some may have been set with the idle change maybe?
May be cheaper to take to a shop and have them troubleshoot it. Maybe someone else on this forum can better advise?
