Lose of power

I have a 1995 3000 GT v6 non turbo. The car will pick up speed I slowly step on the gas, but when I step on the gas kinda hard the rpm will go HI and the car will bearly go. What esle car I do?

My old labaron did that before the belt snapped, have it looked at before that happens.
