My husband had a hotwire loose to his car when he was driving one day.
The car shutdown or stalled on him.
He tightened the hotwire to the cable and it started back up.
A half-hour later it stalled again then about 3 more times it shutdown.
He brought it home, took the battery cables off for about a day and a half then he hooked em back up to see if the computer was going to do that again but it wouldn't die out anymore.
He's afraid to drive it anymore incase it would shutdown.
He can't get it to stall on him anymore.

Do you see any problems?
Anything he might check?
Could the computer have reset itself when he hooked the cables back?
He don't want to get out on the road and it stall again so we need some advice.

Thx,
Deborah.

Having that wire loose probably set a mojor fault code in the computer. Clearing it probably fixed the code. He has to drive it to see if the problem returns other wise the are no fault codes to diagnose. Have him drive it again and if the problem returns have him pull the codes on the system. Don't rese3t it till the problem is diagnosed properly.
