I have a 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse Gs-t (turbo) 2.0L motor with a little over 87,000 miles. I'm having a huge problem with my car, haven't been able to drive it yet or get it inspected, Here's what I have done and what is going on with it. I went to start it one day when I bought it from someone and it started up fine, did some aftermarket stuff to it (it's a show car) I'm very mechanicaly inclined too so there's no half fast stuff done to it. Anyways I went to go start it one day after it had rained and it did nothing, no dash lights, no clicks from starter, absolutely nothing. I said fine, i'll start replacing stuff. I replaced the battery with a duralst gold from autozone and replaced the negative battery cable with terminal ring and also replaced the positive terminal ring with a gold platted one. It charged up and I got dash lights to come on, went to go start it and it drained like you wouldn't believe, but if I jumped my car, it would start right up. After I take the jumper cables off, my battery would drain once again from 12.3v to maybe 2.4v. I found out what was draining my battery which was a condensor fan motor relay. I replaced and my battery didn't drain at all. I was so happy so I went to go start it up and it b;ew black smoke out the exhaust and stuttered a lot like it was going to die and just stall (keep in mind this is a 5-speed, forgot to mention that, sorry). So I replaced the spark plug wires, spark plugs, fuel rail, fuel injectors, did a brand new oil change, put brand new gas in my tank. Same thing. I checked my fuel pressure regulator to make sure nothing was going into my vacuum lines which there was nothing, but also to make sure that there was fuel going into my return line, and there was nothing. I didn't care to check the pressure on it, so I just replaced it with a new one. Now I'm getting fuel through the return line for the pressure regulator. I go to start my car up and once again, it drains like you wouldn't believe (my battery) unless I jump it, only then can I start my car right up. The only problem is when I go to drive it to test drive it, I can't go anymore than maybe 10 miles an hour or when I rev the engine it will rev, but shoot down to maybe somewhere around 100 -150 rpm's then slowly crawl it's way back up to the 750 where it should be at. I replaced the alternator already also. All relays are fixed, all fuses are ok and checked out good, battery is new (2 months), alternator is new have not yet replaced hte starter though. Fuel filter is new, fuel rail, fuel injectors, fuel pressure regualtor, have not replaced fuel pump though. My question to you guys I guess is would an electrical problem cause my car to bogg down like that since it is an electrical fuel pump and if so what do you think could be wrong with my car. I just want it drivable again, lol. Thank You for any help and I hope I mentioned everything and helped you guys out as much as possible, let me know if you need any further info. Thanks!

I threw a new battery on it, that was my starting up issue, apparently my battery I just got went bad, but was still reading the correct voltage, maybe a cell went bad or something, i'm not sure, but anyways, the starting up issue is gone. I'm still having a horrible idle issue. It's running really rich. I threw a scan tool on it and as soon as I turned the car to the on position, my coolant temp read like 83 degrees, I was like what? Lol so that was out of wack and my mfi sensor (mass air flow sensor) is a little ut of adjustment too. I have bosch +4 sparks in there and stupid me didn't even think that turbo car does not run well with platinum plugs, they'll melt. So I went out and bought the ngk's so we'll see what happens, I need to change my fuel filter too, but if you guys have any other ideas hat may be causing the bad idle, plase let me know or the rich black smoke. Thanks.
