95 Mitsu Mirage - need to remove engine for headgasket job?

Hello. I'm going to attempt a headgasket job on my '95 Mirage (5-sp tranny, 1.5L engine). But looking at the engine, it seemed like a side engine mount over by the timing belt might be in the way. Does the engine need to be disconnected from that engine mount or taken out of the car for the headgasket job? If I do need to disconnect that engine mount, where is it best to support the engine from underneath without damaging anything? Can the timing belt be replaced without removing the engine also?

Thanks!

Support the engine underneath after you have jacked it up enough for the motor mount to be removed. It can be done with the engine in the car. Good luck
