Transmission problem
1999 Other Mitsubishi Models Four Wheel Drive Automatic 80000 miles

Today I drove home stopped my engine. For ten minutes but when I tried to re start my car but it would not re start, When it eventually started it would not rev
beyond 1000 revs and there was no glow plug light.
I LEFT IT FOR ABOUT ONE HOUR AND TRIED IT AGAIN WHEN IT STARTED OK AND THE REVS WERE OK.
BUT WHEN I STOPPED AND TRIED TO RE START IT, IT
WOULD NOT START ALTHOUGH IT TRIED AND STILL
DID NOT HAVE A GLOW PLUG LIGHT

Hi there,

the lack of a glow indication with a warm engine will not be the real issue here, the glow plugs will only operate for a few seconds if that with a warm engine, there is a temp sensor that is part of the glow system that controls glow duration. Warm diesels don't need glowing to start, if there is a warm start up problem it will be in the fuel delivery system or a low comp problem, I would have the pump inspected and a comp test done first.
