I have a question regarding my dads truck, he has a 1994 mitsubishi mighty max, I think it has reached its limit, and it no longer runs like it used to, my question is which type of engine fits in this truck, I know I could always put in another mighty max engine, but I also want to know what other mitsubishi engines fit, could you please help me out on this and could an engine made from another brand fit in this truck?

There are different variants of engines for the truck and layout. It is something that is not easily answered unless personally experienced.

You need to have the engine type to look for compatible engine swapps.

Any engine can be swapped, just the amount of work and thigs to replace or modify varies. It is not easy to do a complete sway with a different engine make and there are many things to consider.

1st and formost would be the transmission assy. You need to match it up. After matching it up, you need to match the drive trains.

Next would be the engine management system. You need the wire harness and ECU etc for the donor engine.

Hoses, AC components etc would be the on the list.
