My car was making a slight ticking noise, it was time for an oil change, so I thought (hoped) maybe that was the problem. I took it in and had the oil changed and now the noise is 5 times as bad. It seems to really worsen between 40 & 50 mph. I don't think there is anything 'knocking' about it, it just sounds like a loud ticking or tapping noise coming from under the hood. Any suggestions?

Hi there, this is a faulty lash adjuster, you may try doing an engine oil change again but run a flush compound with it as there may be some carbon fouling the bleed valve, failing this it will have to be replaced.
