My car was running fine, was hesitating slightly at start but was otherwise running great. One day it just didn't turn so we jumpstarted it, got it home with no problems. Having had it for three years I decided to get a new battery. After replacing the battery the engine turns but won't start. It sounds as it might if it were out of gasoline, but it has plenty of gas.

Hi IrmaRL,

The hesistation during starting might be due to the fuel pressure or crank sensor. Did the check engine light come on before the battery change?

Sometimes replacing the battery would reset the ECM and if your idling circuit was not functioning well, it would not start without the operations of the gas pedal.
Check for sparks at the spark plug.
Try starting with the gas pedal depressed and see if it starts up. If it does, you might have to let it idle for about 20 mins without any load to let the ECM rewrite.
