My car's 4th cylinder started misfiring lately. The mechanic is asking me $350 to fix it. I want to know how urgent i the problem. If I don't fix it now, is it going to have ripple effects on other parts of the engine.

I appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Best regards,
Abhishek

Cylinder misfire at no.4 -check the compression and injector

Misfiring can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.
