1999 Mitsubishi Galant Oil Pressure Light

Sometimes when i am driving the Oil Pressure Light will come on an flicker for a few seconds, then go off, depending on how long i am driving it might do that a couple times, and whenever i get ready to turn my car off it comes on and goes off. I am just wondering what the problem may be and a possible solution.
