1999 Mitsubishi Galant CAMSHAFT SENSOR MALFUNCTION

I know where the senosor is and have put a new sensor in but I have still have the fault code telling me that the camshaft sensor circuit is malfunctioning. How do I fix this problem. Is this a circuit issue that I can solve or is this a PCM problem this seem tobe a fault that is kind of common in 1999.

Hi there,

With the new sensor fitted, have the code cleared. If it re sets, check the sensor plug on the loom for a loose or damaged pin connector first.
