The car will shift but it wont go into gear? There is a faint clicking sound but other than that the engine sounds fine and like I said the shifter will slide into drive or reverse but nothing happens? Thanx

I had that same problem at 90000 miles it ended up being a transmission change. Try checking your fluid to see if the level is good and it is not burnt looking. If so try changing the trans filter first. Hope it's not serious.
