Hello. I had my battery replaced on a mitsubushi eclipse 2002 95,000 miles. On the drive home after the battery was replaced, the transmission seemed to shift loudly, almost making a banging noise. Also, it would increase rpm right before a gear would shift. it was random, sometimes it did it, sometimes it didn't, and did it at all different gear changes. I temporarily used the manual shift option and the gears shifted smootly. i was wondering if there is some sort of setting that is lost when the battery is replaced. i checked transmission fluid and the level was fine. i should also mention that none of these symptoms occured on the way to get the battery changed, only after it was changed.
