2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse High idle

I just replaced the idle air control valve and now the car idles at about 1750 rpm. The idle does not come down after the car is warmed up. How do I bring the idle back down. The idle was right before I replaced the valve.

One thing you will want to check for is a disconnected, vacuum hose. Also try cycling the key to on, off on, off, on and see if this will seat it correctly, it works on some vehicles. Also try cleaning out the throttlebody and plate, could be sticking now
