2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse cylinder head

when my 2000 eclipse with 80000 is at idle it makes a ticking noise in the cylinder head it sounds like the valves but im not sure whats causing it. but then sometimes the noise will go away and then come right. back

Should be the hydraulic valve lifters, nothing to worry about. It is quuite common with Mitsubishi engines.

Replacement or servicing of the lifters would solve the problem but it might come back later.

I understand that synthetic oil and oil treatment are not recommended for thhis engine.
