2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse Blown radiator??

I bought a brand new radiator and 5 days later the bottom blew out. Could this be caused by not changing my thermostat or maybe a blow head gasket? No milky oil or white exhausted.

couldve been a crappy radiator that just let go. usually a hose will blow before a radiator due to pressure. performa cylinder compressioin and leakdown test and post back your results and i can tell you where to go from there to see whats what
