1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 160k miles

This is a tricky one. My friends say I'm crazy for even thinking it. I want to conver an ecipse into a rear wheel drive. Then after that I want to build a high power/high torque engine that runs fairly quiet. The car will be used for street driving and some track racing. I know this will be pricy, but I need a basic walkthrough and a price estimation for this job. The car currently is a 1998 eclipse rs 4cylinder DOHC with a manual 5 speed overdive transmition.

Thank you for the donation,

I really think that you should re think what you are looking for, what you ask is nigh on impossible to do, the basic body shell and rear end set up is not engineered to do what you want, there are just some projects that no matter how much money you want to throw at it, it just wont work, this is one of them.
