I'm pretty sure my alternator is out on my car. I have no car manual. I need to know how to take the alternator out, considering I need to get it out from underneath the car.

Raise front of vehicle. Disconnect battery terminals. Tire removal is not necessary but it will give you more room to work. Remove battery cable and electrical connector from alternator. There are three nut/bolts that you need to loosen and remove. Loosen but don't remove the bottom bracket bolt. Loosen but don't remove the nut that is attached to the tensioner bolt. Loosen the tensioner bolt located close to the alternator belt. Once the alternator is loose, remove the belt. Remove the nut to the tensioner bolt and bottom bracket bolt. Wiggle the alternator out really close to the radiator.

Install is reverse.
