1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse the idle on the car is weird.

When I start the car. And it idles. It jumps. Or flucuates. It'll be at 1000rpm then jump to 1500rpm and keep going back and forth. I even notice it when im driving. Let's say the speed limit is 30. I cant do 30 otherwise it'll buck. It seems like I always have to drive faster otherwise it'll jump and buck. Please let me know what I need to do. Thanks -Chris

We have the same problem with my son's car (1992 eclipse). From everything I've read so far, it points to a ICS (Idle control servo). We just ordered the part so I'll let you know how it goes.

We installed the ICS and that took care of the problem. Seems to be an engineering problem with this part. Be prepared to shell out over $100 dollars for it though.
