I just recently purchased a 1992 eclipse with a rebuilt engine and new timing belt, but when I start the car it doesn't idle. If my foot is not on the acceleration the car will shut off.

Hi there,

I would get the engine idle setting checked, if you feel you want to do this I will need to know if you have 1.8 or 2 liter engine and if it is single cam or twin cam as the setting will vary, failing this get your mechanic to do that adjustment.
