1997 Mercury Villager hesitation on acceleration

Thanks so much for the advice on the vehicle. It was very much appreciated. Upon further research, I found that the MAS might need cleaning and/or replacing. I purchased some MAS cleaner, took apart the air filter to get to the sensor and discovered the MAS full of dirt and carbon. I cleaned it off and viola! I now have power and the engine runs like new again! So if anyone else has experienced low power and hesitation, try cleaning the MAS first. The cleaner only cost about $8.00 and it was a cheap easy fix. LaNae
