Transmission problem
2007 Mercury Sable 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 90.000 miles

Will a 1993 3.8 trans bolt up to a 1997 3.0. The transmison came out of a lincon contninl.

Even of it bolts up for you, most likely you will have trouble with the sensors, hook-ups, ... Anymore, everything is so different from year to year and model to model. I recommend finding an exact replacement. It's hard to say if the computer will run a different type of engine.
