Electrical problem
1998 Mercury Sable 6 cyl Automatic

I have just installed an aftermarket head unit in my '98 Mercury Sable, I put all the wires to its proper colored wire but now my door chime won't shut off. I don't know if the head unit (Stereo) has anything to do with the chiming or if I just accidentally messed some other thing up but it won't shut off and now I have to blast my music so that I won't hear the annoying chime. All the doors are closed, my seat belt is on, and the key is out when I close the door. It does it when I am driving when the key is out, when the key is in, the only thing I can do to silence it is disconnecting the battery. The door doesn't have the little rubber button to notify the car that the door is shut so I have no clue what to do. Please someone help me all I hear when I am home now is chiming.

Recheck your wiring as it sounds as you have some mixed up wires
unplug the radio and all your problems go away

I tried unplugging it already and it still is doing it. I just realized that the gas and the temperature gauge isn't working. I think that is the cause of the beep.
