Shakes or Wobbles problem
1996 Mercury Sable Engine Size unknown Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100, 00 miles

So I bought this sable wagon about 3 months ago. I even had it looked at before the purchase. It would shake if I tried to speed up to quickly. But today it will not shake but is just taking a long time to speed up (over 10-15 mph) it also sounds like the engine is revving. I am scared I bought a lemon.
please help.

Did you check the transmission fluid level?
Is it full and clean?

Not sure if this is a transmission issue or a performance promblem.

Do you mean the engine revs, but the car goes no faster?

Hopefully you'll get lucky and it is just low fluid. However damage may have been done to it from running it low. And also there is probably a leak that need to be found.
