The car runs really, really rough, and when it idles, sounds like its running on like 3 cylinders. It also makes a "clunking" sound. Then I took it to a shop, where they said it was misfiring on 4 cylinders, and they took to do some further testing. They then told me cylinder #1 read 0 on a compression test, and cylinder #2 was reading 50. They said I need a new engine, but that doesn't make complete sense to me... and I'm not sure what my next step should be. Does anyone have any advice?

Did the problem start all at once? Also, if I provide directions, can you check it to make sure they are accurate?
